Bagnaia and Marquez exchanged heated gestures in the gravel following the incident, but initially, it seemed they had not sustained serious injuries.
Marquez drifted off course, holding onto third place with six laps left.
Starting from the fourth spot, Bagnaia attempted a pass.
It appeared as though the rear end of Bagnaia's Ducati was closely tethered to the front end of Marquez's bike.
The two bicycles became entangled and veered off the path.
For a few moments, Bagnaia found himself trapped under Marquez's Ducati during their slide.
However, he stood up and motioned towards Marquez, indicating that he was fine.
He left with his leather clothing ripped and worn on his arm, possibly lucky that the injury wasn't more severe.
Bagnaia was examined at the medical facility.
Half an hour after their mishap, Bagnaia and Marquez were seen strolling through the paddock, no longer in their racing suits, and appearing to be uninjured.
Stewards are conducting an investigation into the incident.
Defending MotoGP titleholder Bagnaia began Sunday three points behind the current leader in the championship, Jorge Martin.
Martin's second-place finish in Aragon's MotoGP race on Sunday has propelled him into the championship lead, now holding a 23-point advantage.
Marc Marquez emerged victorious in the race.
