Ducati Overcomes Chatter Challenges at Jerez: Martin and Bagnaia Lead the Charge Towards Normalcy

Jorge Martin discusses resolving chatter issues: "I believe we're returning to normal"

Jorge Martin is confident that Ducati is overcoming its chatter problems.

Jorge Martin clinched victory in the Spanish MotoGP sprint race at Jerez, only to later lead the grand prix before suffering a fall at the sixth turn.

The weekend saw Ducati racers taking center stage, with competitors from KTM and Aprilia finding it challenging to match the performance and prowess displayed by Ducati once more.

Marc Marquez acknowledges that discussions about his contract have begun following outreach from competing teams.

Heading into the weekend, the main concerns for those on the GP24 machines were related to chatter problems.

Following a weekend that saw no recurrence of the problem, and a day of testing that resulted in progress, both Martin and the current world champion Francesco Bagnaia shared their opinions on the matter.

Martin stated, "The track was ideal as there was no vibration, indicating we are returning to normalcy."

"Perhaps we're becoming acquainted with the new motorcycle, and it could be that the motorcycle is adjusting to the circuits. However, even if that's not the case, we have solutions."

"Today, we experimented with various strategies that significantly boosted our speed. I'm truly pleased with the progress and enhancements we've achieved."

After clinching the grand prix title and fending off Marc Marquez, Bagnaia remarked, "The adjustments and experiments we undertook on Friday paid off, allowing us to somewhat overcome this issue."

"However, we need to remain in a position where it's available to us."

Not only did Ducati's racers delve into the topic, but Davide Tardozzi and Gino Borsoi also shared their insights on the matter.

Tardozzi mentioned, "There's still some vibration present, so we're addressing that issue. Our engineers put in considerable effort over the weekend and we believe we've made a discovery, although it's not a complete solution yet."

"We're committed to continuing on this path in hopes of fully resolving the issue. However, we are quite pleased with the arrangement we had during the race."

"We didn't introduce any new components as we believe the issue lies with the tuning, as well as the chassis and suspension."

Borsoi identified it as a primary area of attention for Pramac throughout the single-day trial: "Today, it was a key point of concentration, but over the weekend, we experienced no chattering.

"We arrived with several concepts to modify the motorcycle. However, it's challenging to determine if we addressed the issue, as we didn't experience any chattering over the weekend."
