Ducati Embraces Italian Pride with Special ‘Maglia Azzurra’ Livery for Home MotoGP Race at Mugello
Ducati adopts a unique light blue color scheme for the Italian MotoGP event
The official Ducati squad will compete in a distinctive light blue color scheme during the Italian MotoGP race.
For this Sunday's Italian MotoGP race at Mugello, the Ducati Lenovo team is set to exchange its iconic red for a unique light blue color scheme known as ‘Maglia Azzurra’.
Starting from Sunday morning's warm-up session, the Desmosedici GP24 motorcycles ridden by the current champion, Francesco Bagnaia, and his team-mate, Enea Bastianini, will sport a new design. The bikes will be adorned in the Italian national team's signature colors, featuring blue, white, and gold accents.
Bagnaia and Bastianini are set to don unique racing gear, designed with identical color schemes.
Mauro Grassilli, the Director of Sports, Marketing, and Communications for Ducati Corse, expressed that, similar to the national Italian teams, they also bring joy to countless Italians by showcasing their country's prowess on international racing circuits during the race weekends.
"In celebration of our home Grand Prix at Mugello, we've decided to forge a connection between the fiery Red that defines us in racing and the Azzurro hue that symbolizes our collective passion for the sport."
Bagnaia, who is currently trailing behind Jorge Martin in the world championship rankings, aims to clinch his third consecutive win at his home race in Mugello this Sunday.
