Gigi Dall'Igna has broken his silence regarding the clash in Aragon involving Francesco Bagnaia and Alex Marquez.
MotoGP titleholder Bagnaia and his Ducati teammate Marquez took a dramatic tumble out of last weekend's Aragon MotoGP race.
Bagnaia accused Marquez, who claimed he didn't deliberately take the Italian down.
"Losing these valuable points is truly regrettable, and the manner in which it occurred makes it all the more disappointing," wrote Ducati's general manager, Dall'Igna.
"Furthermore, despite the challenges faced over the weekend, which Pecco and his team effectively overcame, our champion was on track to secure a spot on the podium, showcasing his unwavering determination. This was after a difficult beginning, further complicated by a dirty start box."
This interaction with Alex Marquez subsequently led to his withdrawal from the competition.
"Turning the page on what's behind us and moving on swiftly, we're stepping into the critical phase of this global journey. It's time to stay optimistic and concentrated: we're setting our sights on Misano and looking forward to welcoming our incredible fans for a weekend of celebration with Ducati!"
Bagnaia is approaching the Italian team's home race this weekend, acknowledging that his physical condition is not fully optimal, following a crash at Aragon.
The altercation involving a pair of Ducati competitors detracted from the brilliance of Marc Marquez's performance.
The eight-time titleholder secured the lead position, emerged victorious in the sprint race, and then triumphed in the grand prix. This marked the first victory on a Ducati bike.
Dall'Igna went on to say: "During a weekend that was significantly challenged by the state of the new asphalt at the Aragon circuit, the remarkable Marc Marquez emerged victorious, competing with an effortless ease and assurance: a pure display of talent combined with the relentless drive of a juggernaut.
"Throughout the entire weekend, he clearly showed his supremacy, leaving no question about the result from the very start of the free practice sessions."
"Marking the triumph of a victor reclaiming his glory, this celebration commemorated his inaugural victory with Ducati, transforming the disappointment of Sunday's conclusion into a moment filled with happiness."
In this scenario, there was no opportunity remaining for others: Jorge Martin quickly grasped the situation and executed a flawless performance, notably in both the Sprint and GP competitions, capitalizing on his efforts with two crucial runner-up finishes for the world championship, which became even more significant following Pecco's compulsory withdrawal.
Pramac Ducati's racer, Martin, has once again taken the lead in the MotoGP championship standings.
He maintains a lead of 23 points over the second-ranked factory rider, Bagnaia. Martin has a 70-point lead ahead of Marquez.
Misano, the venue for the upcoming back-to-back MotoGP races, is generally preferred by Bagnaia. However, the champion comes into these rounds not in the best shape following his significant crash.
