Following their crash, Bagnaia and Marquez exchanged heated gestures in the gravel, though it appeared they had fortunately not sustained any serious injuries at initial observation.
Marquez drifted off track while trying to hold onto third place, with only six laps to go.
Starting from the fourth spot, Bagnaia attempted to pass him.
Bagnaia's Ducati appeared to be glued to Marquez's front end.
The two bicycles became entangled and veered off the path.
For a few moments, Bagnaia found himself trapped under Marquez's Ducati while they were skidding.
However, he stood up and motioned towards Marquez, indicating that he was fine.
He moved off, his leathers scratched and worn on his arm, yet possibly lucky that the injuries weren't more severe.
Bagnaia visited the medical facility for an examination.
Within half an hour after their mishap, Bagnaia and Marquez were seen strolling through the paddock, not wearing their racing suits, and appeared to be unharmed.
Stewards are currently conducting an investigation into the incident.
Heading into Sunday's race, MotoGP's current champion Bagnaia was three points behind the leader of the championship, Jorge Martin.
Martin's second-place finish at Sunday's Aragon MotoGP has put him at the top of the championship standings, leading by 23 points.
Marc Marquez emerged victorious in the race.
