National media reveals illegal substances used to enhance the appearance and longevity of berries

Officials in Golmud, located in Qinghai province, along with authorities in Jingyuan county, Gansu province, announced on Monday the formation of dedicated teams to probe into the matter.

"The findings of the inquiry and the management of the case will be disclosed to the public promptly," stated officials from Golmud.

"Authorities will impose strict penalties on those found guilty of the crimes, in accordance with the law."

The food safety committee in Jingyuan released a comparable announcement.
