Former Military intelligence analyst Chelsea Manning has been jailed for refusing to testify to a grand jury investigating Wikileaks.
U.S. District Decide Claude Hilton ordered Manning to jail Friday after a short listening to wherein Manning confirmed she has no intention of testifying. She instructed the decide she “will settle for no matter you carry upon me.”
Manning has stated she objects to the secrecy of the grand jury course of, and that she already revealed every thing she is aware of at her court docket martial.
The decide stated she’s going to stay jailed till she testifies or till the grand jury concludes its work.
Manning’s attorneys had requested that she be despatched to house confinement as a substitute of the jail, due to medical issues she faces.
