Broc Parkes Makes Triumphant Return to MotoGP with IodaRacing at Valencia Finale
Parkes Set for MotoGP Comeback with Ioda
Broc Parkes is set to rejoin the MotoGP World Championship for the 2015 season finale in Valencia, stepping in for the injured Alex de Angelis at IodaRacing.
The seasoned Australian racer participated in his debut MotoGP season last year with the Paul Bird Motorsport team, but his transition to British Superbikes in 2015 was cut short following a series of poor performances.
After dedicating the latter half of the 2015 season to endurance racing, Parkes is set to return to top-level international competition by riding an ART bike prepared by IodaRacing in Spain.
He will be the next replacement rider for de Angelis, who was injured in an accident at the Japanese Grand Prix. Prior to this, Damian Cudlin, a fellow Australian, had taken over the bike for the races in Australia and Malaysia.
In other news, Ioda has announced that de Angelis will show up in Valencia, marking his first public outing since the Motegi incident that kept him hospitalized for 19 days.
