Bottas Nears Sensational Williams Comeback for 2025: Announcement Looming?
Valtteri Bottas Nears Potential Williams Comeback: Reveal Expected Before Canadian GP?
Could Valtteri Bottas Make a 2025 Comeback with Williams?
Valtteri Bottas may be poised for a remarkable comeback to Williams, potentially partnering with Alex Albon in 2025.
Speedcafe and the Finnish outlet VSabladet report that Bottas is strongly rumored to be moving to Williams.
The Finnish driver is reportedly open to opportunities for the 2025 season, with Audi/Sauber exploring other candidates to team up alongside Nico Hulkenberg.
Despite not having registered any points this season, Bottas leads Zhou with a 7-0 advantage in their qualifying matchups.
Bottas is also rumored to be in talks with Haas, possibly joining forces with Oliver Bearman, and Alpine may come into play as a possibility should Esteban Ocon or Pierre Gasly choose to leave their current positions.
Yet, a comeback to Grove might be in the works.
In 2013, Bottas entered the Formula 1 scene with Williams, achieving his first podium finish with the team a year later.
Following a successful four-year stint, he was selected to fill Nico Rosberg's seat at Mercedes, partnering up with Lewis Hamilton for the races ahead.
Reports suggest Bottas' impressive comeback to Williams may be officially revealed as soon as next month, potentially during the Canadian Grand Prix.
This decision would be advantageous for both parties, providing Williams with a reliable and fast driver in the midfield.
With Bottas and Albon, Williams could boast one of the more impressive driver duos among the highly competitive middle group of racers.
During the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix weekend, the individual who has clinched victory in 10 races was seen inside the Williams motorhome.
Speaking about his trip to see Williams in Imola, Bottas described it as a discussion on everyday matters, focusing on life!
"Obviously, when you're exploring the open market, it's common to look around and see what options are available. This is a typical scenario for anyone navigating the free market."
