**”Binder’s Burnout Blues and Miller’s Rins Rivalry: A Weekend of Highs and Lows at Aragon”**
Brad Binder: "I ended up doing a rolling burnout again!" Jack Miller: "Rins managed to get past me."
Brad Binder: "Yesterday evening, I came up with a solid strategy to avoid spinning out at the start…"
Brad Binder had his best MotoGP weekend in terms of points since the season began in Qatar, finishing in 4th and 6th positions at the Aragon race.
This happened even though he veered off course in both races, and his seventh-place finish occurred on the less obstructed part of a messy starting grid.
During the middle portion of the race, Binder trailed behind newcomer Pedro Acosta. This competition turned into a fight for third place after Alex Marquez and Francesco Bagnaia collided with five laps remaining.
However, Acosta remained just beyond grasp.
“I came up with a solid strategy last night to avoid losing control at the start, and I executed a smooth rolling burnout just like I did yesterday!” Binder said with a smile.
"I navigated through the pack and overtook several riders. It was challenging to avoid errors since the front tire was overheating while trailing others for most of the race."
"I attempted to gain time when exiting corners since I couldn't enter them too quickly due to the front overheating. Unfortunately, this strategy backfired as the left side of the tire was completely worn out by the end."
“I gave it my all to overtake Pedro, but there was no room left behind him!
"Besides that, we made several positive advancements this weekend. We experimented with adjusting the bike's balance, and it appeared to be effective throughout the race."
Jack Miller, starting alongside his team, had a powerful beginning, moving from 15th place on the grid to 8th by the conclusion of the first lap. However, the Australian rider quickly faced issues with rear tire traction.
Following a last-lap defeat to Alex Rins, placing him in tenth, he was subsequently one of three riders hit with a 16-second post-race penalty for tyre pressure violations, causing him to fall to 15th place.
“That was quite a lengthy race,” Miller remarked. “The track conditions varied once more; it has been dirty for most of the weekend, but today it felt particularly slippery.
"I gave it my all. It was challenging to manage the [medium] rear tire, and I experienced a significant highside incident coming out of the final turn."
“I found my groove and focused on maintaining it. There were several challenges transitioning from the edge to the center of the tire… but I managed to finish successfully.
"I didn't make any errors during the race, but I found it difficult to keep up with the guys ahead. We'll continue to work hard."
"I’m pleased to finish in the top ten, but Rins managed to overtake me on the back straight during the final lap. I was striving for precision, but unfortunately, I couldn't accelerate well enough, and he surpassed me on the straight."
"We will return to Misano."
Test rider Pol Espargaro will join the KTM team as a wild-card entry, bringing their total number of riders to five for this weekend.
"Now we head to Misano, keeping in mind the upcoming test and Pol’s wildcard entry, which will benefit us moving forward," stated team manager Francesco Guidotti.
The opening race of the Misano MotoGP series will see Binder trailing Acosta by three points, with Acosta currently in fifth place in the world championship standings.
Miller, potentially set to be announced as a Pramac Yamaha rider at the team's home races in Italy, is currently 15th in the standings and just three points behind Monster Yamaha's Fabio Quartararo.
