**”Binder’s Battle and Miller’s Misfortune: A Rollercoaster Weekend at Aragon”**
Brad Binder exclaimed, "I experienced another rolling burnout!" Meanwhile, Jack Miller mentioned, "Rins got ahead of me at the last moment."
Brad Binder reflected, "Last night, I devised a solid strategy to avoid spinning at the start…"
Brad Binder experienced his best MotoGP weekend in terms of points since the season began in Qatar, securing 4th and 6th place finishes at Aragon.
This occurred even though he veered off course in both races, and despite that, he managed to secure seventh place, which was on the more favorable side of a messy starting lineup.
Binder trailed rookie Pedro Acosta during the mid-phase, turning into a fight for third place when Alex Marquez and Francesco Bagnaia collided with 5 laps remaining.
However, Acosta remained just beyond grasp.
"I had a solid strategy last night to avoid losing control at the start, and I managed to do another rolling burnout just like the day before!" Binder said with a smile.
"I was able to navigate through and overtake several competitors. It was challenging to avoid errors since the front tire was overheating while following others, up until the final part of the race."
"I attempted to gain time when exiting corners since I couldn't enter them quickly due to the front tire overheating. However, this strategy backfired, and in the end, the left side of the tire was completely worn out."
"I did everything I could to overtake Pedro, but there was no room behind me!"
"Aside from that, we took some very positive strides this weekend. We experimented with the bike’s balance, and it appeared to be effective throughout the race."
Fellow racer Jack Miller had a powerful start, moving from 15th position at the start to 8th place by the end of the first lap. However, the Australian quickly encountered issues with maintaining rear traction.
Following a last-lap loss of ninth place to Alex Rins, he was one of three racers penalized with a 16-second post-race penalty for tyre pressure violations, which pushed him down to 15th.
“It was a lengthy race,” stated Miller. “The track conditions changed once more; it had been dirty for most of the weekend but felt more slippery today.”
"I gave it my all. It was tough to manage the [medium] rear tire and I experienced a significant highside incident coming out of the final turn."
"I found my pace and focused on maintaining it. There were several challenges when transitioning from the edge to the center of the tire… but I managed to finish successfully."
"There were no errors during the race, but I found it difficult to keep up with the leaders. We will continue to work hard."
"Glad to finish in the top ten, but Rins overtook me on the back straight during the final lap. I was trying my best to be as accurate as possible, but I didn't get a good acceleration, and he managed to outpace me on that straight."
"We will return to Misano."
KTM’s lineup will expand to five riders this weekend with the addition of test rider Pol Espargaro as a wild-card entry.
Team manager Francesco Guidotti mentioned that they will head to Misano, keeping in mind the upcoming test and Pol’s wildcard entry, which will be beneficial for their future.
The initial race of the Misano MotoGP series will commence with Binder trailing Acosta by three points. Acosta is currently in fifth place in the world championship standings.
Miller, who might be formally announced as a Pramac Yamaha rider at the team's home races in Italy, is currently in 15th place and three points behind Fabio Quartararo of Monster Yamaha.
