Alibaba’s Cainiao Expands European Operations: Launches Next-Day Delivery and Builds New E-Hubs Amid Slowing Domestic E-commerce Growth

Cainiao, the logistics branch of Alibaba, has introduced next-day delivery in Europe and is constructing new hubs. This recent development by Cainiao mirrors Alibaba's dedication to broaden its international presence, especially as the pace of e-commerce growth begins to decelerate domestically.

In other news, Cainiao has also revealed plans for the creation of a second series of worldwide e-commerce logistics centers, termed as e-hubs. These are intended to function as a common infrastructure supporting all e-commerce platforms, vendors, and brands.

"Alibaba is entirely backing Cainiao's worldwide growth to create a logistics network that caters to future industrial and supply chain requirements," stated Tsai. He highlighted that the company's broadened logistics network "caters to a range of customer needs and serves as a common platform for global business partners."
