Alibaba.com, in collaboration with Mastercard and Cardless, a fintech firm based in San Francisco that creates co-branded credit cards, has launched its first-ever card. Alibaba is also the owner of the South China Morning Post.
This decision is a component of larger initiatives by the company based in Hangzhou to extend its global e-commerce presence and attract new users from foreign markets due to sluggish business development domestically.
