A glimpse into what Adrian Newey's position entails at Aston Martin, including his everyday tasks.

Lawrence Stroll, the owner of Aston Martin, has announced that Adrian Newey will take full-time charge of the Formula 1 team's complete technical department.

On Tuesday morning, Aston Martin announced Newey as their new technical managing partner.

From March 2025, Newey is set to head the remarkable technical group at Aston Martin.

Aston Martin has gathered an impressive roster of well-known figures, such as Enrico Cardile from Ferrari, and Dan Fallows, formerly of Red Bull, remains with the team.

Stroll affirmed that Newey is set to dedicate himself entirely to Formula 1, providing guidance and oversight to the team's technical aspects.

"Stroll mentioned, "Our team is robust, and Adrian has prior experience working with some of its members."

Adrian will serve as the technical managing partner for the team, meaning he'll be present daily, dedicating his full time and effort to F1.

"Guiding and steering his team towards their goals."

Stroll is optimistic that bringing Newey on board will positively influence the whole team.

"Numerous elements have contributed," Stroll mentioned. "Since I began half a dozen years ago, leading to the recruitment of our exceptional management team in place now.

"Adrian plays a crucial role, and is the most significant piece in solving this puzzle, especially when it comes to the technical aspects and leadership in that domain."

"He is set to take charge of the team. I believe this will positively impact the entire organization from top to bottom."

Regarding the technical framework, it seems it will be entirely up to Newey's judgment.

Stroll clarified earlier that Adrian would be coming on board as the technical managing partner.

"He is set to lead the technical team and will also play a leadership role within the company, contributing as a partner and shareholder to the overall business."

"Therefore, I'll delegate the structuring task to Adrian, as he is far more qualified for it than I am."
